— Convergent validity looks at the relationship of a measure with other measures that are theoretically linked to the measure of interest.

Convergent validity is a type of construct validity. Convergent validity explores the direction and strength of the correlation of a measure with other theoretically similar measures, not necessarily taken at the same time. If the two measures are positively correlated the measure has demonstrated convergent validity.
